Create a feeding plan for your cat
buon viando for cats
Cats are so-called obligate carnivores - this means that they are pure carnivores.
Their entire anatomy is designed to utilise animal food, which is why plant-based ingredients should only be included in their diet in very small quantities.
Whether it's a mouse, a bird or a bowl of fresh, meat-based ingredients - the main thing is that it's meat.
A cat's bowl
High-quality meat
95% of a cat's entire diet should consist of meat. The various animal components provide your cat with important vitamins, essential amino acids and trace elements - everything it needs for a healthy life.
You have the choice: either you feed your cat comfortably with our Balance products, which cover the entire meat content. Or you can customise the bowl from our various individual components.
Fresh fruit and vegetables
Even though cats are real carnivores, they need a small amount of fibre - not to provide nutrients, but to aid digestion in the gastrointestinal tract.
You have several options: You can prepare the vegetables yourself, use our practical vegetable and fruit mixes or simply use psyllium husks.
Essential additives
What the cat cannot absorb from meat and fibre is supplemented with specific additives. These mainly include omega-3 and -6 fatty acids and iodine. Both can be easily covered: High-quality salmon oil or our 3-6-9 oil are suitable for the important fatty acids, and you can easily cover the iodine requirement with ground seaweed
Additional tips and tricks
- Water and food bowls should not be right next to each other
- An occasional egg yolk covers the cat's vitamin D requirements
- For optimum nutrition, try to alternate between 1-2 types of meat
